Rapids on Main N F of S F a few hundred yds above confluence of Tiss cascade are v massive roaring, humming, hammering, clashing, silvery, jingling, where roars over calcus from castles of W side. Mid of rapids alt 5215, head about 5800, all one roaring foaming cascade far as could see, at least 6 ms from main val rapidly narrows to R solid across.
