19 Have been out an hour on the gl [glacier] after supper. Discovered a mor [moraine] about 1/3 of m [mile] from camp that is 100 yds [yards] wide & is thickly strewn with wood. It is perhaps a mile long then stops suddenly Has been brought down from mtn [mountain] by ava [avalanche] & loaded
onto ice then carried from [shore] in dir [direction] of flow. Perhaps not all one ava [avalanche]. This no doubt explains detached mor [moraine] [mass] This one [starts] from big roomy room or amphitheater on N W side of this. White Cap or Gray Mtn [Mountain]
