17 Had glorious day all pure sunshine The sunset rosy. An hour before sunset or more [the] dist [distant] mtns [mountains] a vast host [second] mor [moraine] softly [etherealized] than ever Every one was blue ineffably from all angles [harshness] melted off even the snow & the grinding cascading gls [glaciers]
[beam] [divinely] fine & tender in the celestial color of amethyst sunset rosy then yellow & brown. Got back at [6] 7.15 not tired. After getting supper could climb the mtn [mountain] again & get back before sunrise. But dragging [sled] tires me.
