grand good spirits. I dont notice the change in climate at all nor the changes in the weather, but still I am careful, and am also very careful about the baby.Wanda says she is going to write to you.I dont know why Tom has not sent you the names of his friends in [Paroa?], for he said he was going to. He has not had very good luck with his pears and I think feels rather blue. However he is going to rent the Valona ranch for six years amd has great hopes there. He and Buel have gone done to Valona today. Wanda is in Berkeley today. Both the little boys are well and still speak of Grandpa. They love my baby and Strentzel can wheel him around the yard in the go-cart. Sometimes in tho evening I take the boys and we wheel the baby up tp the old house. They always call it Grandpa's house. Buel and I were in your study yesterday. Everything looks natural, just as you left it.The peaches are gone now, but we had a feast of them when we were here before, for they were at their best then. I have canned a lot of fruit and will ship t it to our home in Hollywood so we can have it this winter.when I go back to Los Angeles I am going to see Mrs.Jones and Mrs Sellers, if she is still in Pasadena. We met Col. Hooker's son this last time, but he is not like the dear old Colonel. I saw Dr. Allan and he inqired very kindly for you and is interested in your trip.Do write whenever you can, I am so anxious to hear again and know how you are. As soon as I get another address I will write promptly. With love from all of us,Your daughter who loves you.Helen
