by the objectors should be extended until November 1st instead of being fixed at October 1st, as previously written you. It is vary desirable, however, that anything you may wish to present in opposition to the matters presented by the Cith should be filed as promptly as possible, so that the City may prepare its rejoinder and the whole matter be set for oral hearing. The Secretary has, therefore, instructed me to notify you to send to him at the Department of the Interior, Washington, D. C., by October 15th a concise statement of any matter you may wish to have filed in the case, although you may send a more detailed statement or argument, if you desire to do so, by November 1st. The purpose of asking you for a concise statement by October 15th is that this may be presented to the City, so that it may be advised and may at once make preparation for the oral argument. The City will be given until November 15th in which to file anything further it may desire to presont by way of rejoinder and the oral argument will be set before the Secretary here at this office In Washington, D. C. , on November 20th at 10:30 a. m.Respectfully,[illegible]Assistance to the Secretary.Prof. William E. Bade, C/o Sierra Club,302 Mills Building,San Francisco, California.06323-2--2-
