Pacific Grove, Calif.July 3d 1911My dear Brother John:I have been slow in writing but until about two days ago I did not know where to address you. We were much dissapointed in not seeing you while in Los Angeles. I might have written beforehand but decided on the trip on such short notice.Mrs Foster and her daughters family live on a Ranche some miles out from the City, but the first time we went there Anna and Kenneth looked up the Hooker Building leaving me at the Chamber of Commerce while they were finding out. (You see my last letter from you was sent from that place I inferred from the envelope) The gentleman they saw there told them you had started on your trip east also that Mr Hooker had just gone out a few minutes before. They got Mr Hooker's telephone number and after going back to the Ranche called him up when he kindly spoke of your being in Washington and other places also mentioned your intended trip05065
