Martinez, Aug 19. 1910Dear Mrs Hooker-I hope you got safely home. I ought to have gone down with you. It was so stupid not to think of the dust. I would like to have another hour at least with you to talk over Hooker things before we go to Los Angeles. Can you come again say next Sunday? I'll have a carriage at the station & peaches in the ice box & I've sent to Goldberg for good coffee etc. Perhaps Ellie would like the little trip to see Wanda. Anyway let me know how you are & when you will come so as to keep others from coming Ever faithfully your friend John Muir
