[letterhead]and went to Coos Bay to investigate the country and its resources for Mr Harriman. thence I went to Yaquina Bay & overland thru the great hills of the Coast COuntry to Tillamook. I carried nothing but my Camera. no rod, no gun. The forests are truly wonderful, the rivers beautiful, the beds & food abominable. Some of the way I went on foot, some of the time in a canoe, then in a wagon. I have finished my report & am at home among those who love me, for the first time since Mch 1st save 2 days when returning from Mexico.I have several nice letters from Mrs Harriman, the tone of all is, satisfaction with the Lodge. What a nice time we did have, & how much your presence added, you will never realize. Please consider me now & alwaysYour sincere friendW. H. Holabird04300
