Daggett, Cal. May 22 - 08Dear PapaThis is a beautiful warm morning & both Wanda & I feel fine & cheerful. Last evening Wanda took her first horseback ride & felt well after it so she is going to take a short slow ride every day, & get back her strength. She feels better already though she has only been on the desert a few days. It is so good to have her here. She cannot learn to be absolutely care-free & content with living in a simple desert way, as I have happily learned, but I think she will come near to it before she04196
