[2]We want to stop at the Grand Canon of Arizona a day or two and at my son's place in Texas a week if we can But we must get home by the 31st of Oct when our tickets will expire If we could get away sooner earlier our stay would be that much longer but I cannot When I am visiting friends and places of great natural interest I hate to be on a limited ticket but I am not rich enough yet to afford any better so that will have to be the best The visit with you is the a[illegible] of the whole trip and if I could make it soon after coming to San Francisco it would have the right of way and I could pinch the time on some of the others However I will hear from you not likely before I start but your letter could follow me And I will write again en route Hoping all goes well I remain as everYour old time friend W.
