Australia - a great country little known - New Zealand etc where I had glorious time. so novel reviving I began botanical studies over again with all the wildness & enthusiasm of youth. Again & again I have wished you & Gilder along. In less than a month under influence of these Southern Cross wonderlands you would grow back into boyhood, quit puttering with other folks jobs & do work of your own.- Dreams dreams you will say- but good ones, - & here's something good for which I have been looking since a long talk last summer with the President & governor Pardee. Good bye, Love to the Gilders & Johnsons,- everFaithfully yours,John Muir
