One of them a year old the other more than 2 yrs & still as good as new in their same package & with yours came ten from my own family In [this?] m[illegible] [May?] 1903 I went with President Roosevelt to Yosemite Then started on an excursion more than a year long. Visited many of the famous parks & art galleries of Europe spending almost a week or ten days at London, at Pa[illegible] [illegible] Rotterdam Amsterdam the Hague [illegible]yden, St Petersburg Moscow - From Moscow I went to S[illegible] thence along the Black Sea to Botoum then to Tiffis, through the Caucasus by the Darliel Pass back to Moscow, Then across the [illegible]s, Siberia, M[illegible][C]looking at forests [illegible] gls people etc. from [Vladivostock?] to Korea Japan China Singapore India Up the Himalaya Thence to Egypt. up the Nile thence to Ceyl[illegible] to Australia, N. Z. M[illegible] Hong Kong & home by way of Japan & [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] travel in the woods letters had hard work to find me. But the loss of your letter was no loss to your book for it is all rightly [illegible] has beautiful p[illegible] in bright & [illegible], & will able to make its way on its own wings.We all remember your visit with pleasure & hope to see you at our [homes after?] wh[illegible] You come to this [illegible] th[illegible] c[illegible]
