The Giant Forest & Kern River region is better but still very trying in many ways at this time of year under the circumstances as I understand them So are all the ways into Yosemite. For the best Sierra trip I can think of for you is the Tahoe, rail & steamer all the way to the Lake hotels, & camping excursions long or short in every direction. Should you need a companion I'll go myself Have just returned from the Kings-Kaweah-Kern-Mt Whitney country. How I should have enjoyed your company!!!! Let me her from you farther & tell me how I can best help you. Heaven's best Sierra blessing be thine. Ever your friendJohn Muir
