Martinez, Nov. 28. 1901#30Mr Geo. W. StewartPres Mt Whitney Club.Dear SirI am very sorry that lack of personal knowledge of the matter referred to in Congressman Needham's telegram to you Nov. 21st makes me useless as a giver of the reasons for the retention of Captain Andrews which the President requires. As far as I know all the army officers who have been detailed as Park Superintendents have done their duty faithfully & with admirable results.
