July 23 1891Mr Jno MuirMartinez Cal.Dear SirSome time ago I sent Mr Walter Brown a statement of the indebtedness I hold against the house at 909 or 911 I forget which on [Sydia?] [illegible] in this City I have this day paid another special Tax Bill of $27.00 I stated to Mr Brown that if you would reduce the incumbrance to $5000. I arrange to have it carried for [your?] indefinitely I had a party a few days since who wanted to loan just that amount of money for 3 or 5 years. Now if you can make your arrangement so as to do that it will be satisfactory please address me until Sept. 1st at Chloride Sierra County New Mexico. as I will leave here day after tomorrow for that place if you cant do that state what you can do in the matter.
