00858 Victoria B.C. Thursday morning July 10Dear Louie Strentzel, Here, yet once more in my crooked way lies the glassy glaciated rock bound lake-like harbor of Victoria. We have just made fast to the dock. The town is founded on the best glacier-tested glacier-elected rocks & is the capital of B.C. it has I believe about 6,000 inhabitants & is of more telling glacial interest than any other town I have seen on the continent of N.A. How green & fresh the ferns & trees are on the patches of Moraine-soil [deleted: beneath] between the upswelling rock- -bosses ——— ——— ——— ——— Your are very kind in caring so faithfully for my few bits of things. I sent a few specimens of burs & leaves
