[letterhead]July 20- 1888Dear Louie-We came down from Portland last evening. The sunset on Mt. Tacoma was glorious It is worth coming to the north just to se this mountain. The [illegible] sitting on the veranda was deliciously cool. & this evening is also cool Calm bright & helpful Keith is about well again We are going to Victoria this morning at 8.40. Hope to get letters at Seattle on the way. We will not be long in Victoria. May go up Fraser River & return here & hand about the skirst of Icy Rainer. Feel glad to have escaped the Portland Marshes.
