William and Maymie Kimes Annotation
Originally bound in red, Scrapbook II, for preservation purposes, was treated as Scrapbook I, no. 499. Scrapbook II contains 44 Muir newspaper articles about Yosemite, ""Summering in the Sierra,"" first and second series-the Nevada Series, and three book reviews. There are also reports of seven lectures and two interviews. The subjects of the miscellaneous clippings are similar to those in Scrapbook I, including hydraulic mining, volcanoes, botany, poems, and explorers.
