Abstract
This project traces the arc of the University of the Pacific's Division I Men's Volleyball program — from its early success through its decline, disbanding, and upcoming revival for the 2026–2027 season. The research examines both the financial pressures that led to the program's discontinuation and the campus community's reaction to its return. Sean Kim is a current Pacific club volleyball player and a History major. He brings firsthand perspective to this exploration of what the team's revival means for student life and athletic culture on campus.
