The Mémoires was published in four parts: Series 5, 6, 7, and 8, beginning in 1803. Many of Euler's posthumously published works appeared in this journal. Implicitly, the numbering begins with the Commentarii (Series 1) and Novi Commentarii (Series 2) and continues with the Acta (Series 3) and the Nova Acta (Series 4) before flowing into the Mémoires. In the literature, Mémoires typically refers to Series 5, while Series 6, 7, and 8 stated explicitly.
