Abstract

We developed a card game titled "Magic Cards & Dungeons" using the Godot Engine, featuring gameplay mechanics similar to *Slay the Spire*. Players engage in combat by selecting various cards and strategies, gradually ascending a tower to challenge a diverse array of enemies. The game incorporates procedurally generated levels and events, ensuring that every playthrough offers a unique experience. Furthermore, we designed a streamlined enemy AI and card system aimed at enhancing the game's strategic depth and replay value. Throughout the development process, we gained in-depth knowledge of—and practical experience applying—Godot's "Scene" and "Signal" systems. We also accumulated invaluable experience across the entire game development pipeline, from initial design through to final implementation.
