Abstract
The design of a portable unit for self-administered stretching of thigh muscles is presented. The unit is comprised of an aluminum frame, aluminum mechanism, linear actuator with remote control, and safety features. The unit is designed to engage one leg at a time. Two-push button remote is used to elevate the leg to the desired position. Various engineering software packages are used to design and simulate the leg stretcher.
