Abstract

The InkJack deck is a CMYK-themed playing card set that pays homage to the printing process through its Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black) suits. Each suit represents a core component of the color printing spectrum, showcasing how these hues are essential to creating vibrant and precise visual outputs. This deck is a reflection of my deep fascination with the way these colors interact and combine to produce not only functional tools but also pieces of art that are visually striking and purposeful. It is a celebration of the intricate balance and harmony required in the printing process, where each color contributes to the final composition in a way that is both technical and artistic.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, InkJack is designed to foster a collaborative and engaging atmosphere. It invites players to connect over shared experiences, exchange ideas, and celebrate the ingenuity and craftsmanship that define printed media. The deck serves as a bridge between the worlds of design and interaction, encouraging not just gameplay but also a deeper appreciation for the visual language that surrounds us. By blending the practicality of a card deck with the artistry of CMYK design, InkJack offers a unique way to appreciate the creativity embedded in both the process of printing and the act of play. It is a nod to the history of printmaking, a tribute to the evolution of design, and an invitation to explore how tradition and innovation can coexist in a modern, interactive form.
