Abstract/Artist Statement
I created a visual campaign to increase the awareness of COVID-19. This project is geared towards teens (12-17) who live in urban areas and use social media frequently. This project points out that if certain protocols were followed, transmission rates would decrease. These protocols include social distancing, wearing a mask, and recognizing the symptoms. As a graphic designer, I used my skills to make sure this campaign was unified in grouping and hierarchy (like a visual brand). This was done with colors, type, and imagery. Everything was designed based on research. The whole idea is to get teens to pay attention to the campaign. If we do not appeal to them, then the message will not get across. Through this project I wanted to do my part in helping teens stop COVID-19.
