Abstract/Artist Statement

Our campus spans a great distance and for incoming or prospective students it may be hard to navigate it to get to your destination. My project aims to help these learn the layout of our great campus and get to their destinations with the greatest of ease. I will be creating a web app which contains an easily identifiable map of our campus and has the utility of navigation to aid students looking for the class’s building or get to an event. With the ArcCampus app, students will be able to enter a list of their courses for their semester and receive an visual map which outlines which buildings they need to go to based on their input. Another feature this app will have, which will be a great tool for not only Pacific Students, but visitors of the campus will see the list of events occurring on campus in order of how soon they will begin. This tool will also give a visual map whether the user chooses one or multiple events they are interested in attending.
