Abstract/Artist Statement
In the modern-day, finding a job often involves scouring the internet for job applications. A problem with efficiency and motivation occurs as the number of job finding websites increases. Services such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, Hired.com, and several others, offer opportunities for folks to advertise themselves for companies to hire. Each website requires the job seeker to upload documents, create a professional profile, and may involve proof of awards and accolades as well as online assessments. How do we keep applicants motivated to find jobs from the multiplicity of websites?
Job Finder seeks to fix this exact problem. Job Finder aggregates multiple job-finding website’s data all into one search engine. As of now, Job Finder acts as a Proof of Concept (PoC) for being able to aggregate multiple job finding websites into one, for ease-of-use purposes. You can expect to see a fully-functioning program that allows the users to easily view and apply to jobs from multiple job services. Job Finder will allow customers looking for a job to search efficiently with a database of all jobs within the services.
