Abstract/Artist Statement
Television shows are no longer restricted to basic cable. With streaming services and internet subscriptions like Netflix, viewers can now watch any show on multiple platforms at any time. With all of your favorite television shows easily available at your fingertips and new shows constantly coming out, how do you keep track of them all? This is where The Watch List comes in.
The Watch List is a web application that will help users stay up to date on the shows they watch and episodes they have or have not watched, as well as help users discover new shows. The application will allow users to subscribe to their favorite shows and check off episodes they have watched, much like a to-do list. The application will also provide a convenient calendar view where the users’ subscribed shows will be displayed at the respective date and time.
At our Senior Project presentation, attendees can expect a finished product and demo where users can discover new shows, including trending shows, subscribe to their favorite shows, and check off episodes they have watched.
