Abstract/Artist Statement
My idea behind writing this piece was I wanted to incorporate the techniques that I had learned about African tribal music and combine them with my ideas that I was planning when I first set out to write this piece. The work is loosely broken up into three sections the first and last being my own ideas and developing them how I know how and the second section developing the original material as if it were an African drum beat.
