Abstract/Artist Statement

This percussion piece uses bongos and congas as well as quad toms and a bass drum. Organized in three sections, the piece begins with a building rhythm held by the bongos and congas while the toms have a melody that changes each section. There is a strong 4/4 groove in this piece often hidden by a 12/4 groove!
