Abstract/Artist Statement

Dinuclear carboxylate compounds have shown significant anticancer activity. In particular, dinuclear Re(ITI) species are less toxic and have greater activity than other dinuclear metal systems. This srudy focuses on the reactivity of the dirhenium core with DNA derivatives. Spectroscopic characterization of the products will be discussed.
