Reverse Side Caption
Stockton, California. Founded in 1844, Stockton enjoys the reputation of being California's only inland deep-water port. Through the port flow the commodities of the rich San Joaquin Valley, whose crops include wine grapes, nuts, sweet cherries, asparagus, celery and tomatoes. Today, Stockton is a modern city, small enough to be friendly and large enough to be commercially varied and prosperous.
