Abstract
This case series explored whether variability of test-retest CPET performance is a potential basis for disablement in individuals with fatiguing health conditions. Matched subjects (n=7) with and without fatigue received 2 maximal CPETs spaced 24 hours apart. All individuals adequately reproduced CPET performance, except for patients with chronic fatigue syndrome.
