Abstract
Medical evidence to date confirms that ACE inhibitors and ARBs provide equivalent blood pressure control. However, for prevention of specific outcomes, the data show stronger support for ACE inhibitors than ARBs, and vice-versa. Nonetheless, there is no clear answer as to whether one of these drugs has overall superiority for prevention of long-term complications of hypertension.
