My Dear Bro' John
I was glad to her today of the telegram received by Louie last eve telling us of your safe arrival in New-York. Welcome home from Europe & your childhoods home to Wis' where we were all boys & girls together I would like to be with mother and the girls and see you there once more and have a good talk with them all but as that cannot be I will just "bide a wee" in this corner of the vine yard till you reach California and the Home-nest. & then rejoice with you and yours that the good Lord' has watched over you & brought you to us again in safety through so many seen & unseen dangers. The Folks are all pretty well though Louie has had quite a hard time with Neuralgia. Every body interested is hard at work among the grapes Love to Mother & Sisters, affectionately
Maggie
