Saturday morning
June 9, 1893.
My darling Helen.
I have just a few minutes to write before breakfast Here are some flowers that I gathered at Walden Pond Take good care of them. Tell mama I saw Mr Emersons son at Concord & he looked just like his father. Mr Johnson & I ate dinner there. Mr Johnson is making me go to all the pretty & famous places & people whether I will or no. & everybody seems glad to see us

We are going to Cambridge today. I wish I could show you the rhododendron here. The flowers are just glorious in color & bloom & abundance Tell mamma I got her letter a few hours after I wrote to Wanda. I hope you are well & very happy Love to all. Ill write soon Your loving papa John Muir
