Dear Brown
Your of the [7?] with Mr Muis letter enclosed receive this A.M. I return you his letter as requested. I hardly know what to say to you about it, but I think I can hold it off till Fall if he could pay up all the interest and what has been paid out for taxes and other expense. I think it will be satisfactory that would bring it down to the original principle. I believe without having the figure at hand it was about $6700 so you can see about what he will have to pay but I am going to leave here not later than the 15th of this month. You can write me before that here otherwise write me at Chloride, Sierra County New Mexico. let Muir know my address. I will be there until September 1st and perhaps untill the 15th. I will do the best for you as you well know but I want you to send [illegible]ebree that $40.00 as soon as you can I will speak to him about it and think
