My dear Helen & Wanda
I received your nice letters & I was very glad to hear you were all well & to get the little cedar sprays. You must not be too lonesome. I’ll some be home & I’m not far away anyhow. I suppose I could hear your sweet voices in the telephone, but not very well I fear. I couldnt hear mamma the other day, nor Mr Borland either very well, so I got only part of the message. Tell mama next time to telegraph or write.

Also tell her that I will be home Wednesday morning & perhaps Mr & Mrs Myrick may come with me. If they do I will telegraph as soon as I know. Im getting on pretty well but slowly & I dont sleep much. Keith had a grand reception of which he is very proud. The Sierra Club meeting was also a grand success. Love to you my dear babies & to mamma & grandma from your affectionate father John Muir
