Dear Sister Sarah & all the others
Daniel's telegram which informed us that dear Mother had left us, reached us at ten last eve, Arthur Coleman happened to be in town late & kindly brought it out to us. I spent most of this forenoon with Maggie. I was afraid that she might worry herself sick, but I was glad to find that she was quiet & resigned & was calm when I left her. Aunt Louie, Wanda & Helen were also with her, showering her with kindness. We realized that likely all of her children

would be present except we two & we were certainly present in spirit. I would like to be with you, but I cannot. Ette joins me in love to all.
