My Dear Brother John
I write to acknowledge the recept of a large nicely bound, geography looking Book, Entitled Notes and Observations made in the cruise of the Corwin in Alaska by your Own Self, & others. It is very interesting indeed. We expect that it was lent by you. although you did not

mentioned it. Many thanks John Annie is improving a little we think. Dan seems to think her symptoms better. he has not been here to see her except once shortly after she came. The pain in her side has troubled her today but is better now. We are still having beautiful weather something like your winter weather, [hour?] frost in the mornings & warm sunshinny day’s. Annie enjoys it very much and keeps out of doors
as much as possible. the rest of us are all pretty well. hoping you are all enjoying the same blessing. Kiss Wanda for me. and now as it is bedtime I will close with much love to all Louie. Wanda. & yourself, I am lovingly,
