Yours enclosing D[illegible] for $115.00 and note for $308. is recd I did not expect so much as I thought you had used part of that $100. on improving my place, You may sell my farm also if you can at a price that will make me whole [illegible] [& all?] You may send me my [illegible] contract & Tad receipt what Jno Reid left with you for if you should sell the land it would have to come here for Katie’s Signature. Father is here awaiting matters

return from the South to take him & Joanna he does not dare to go down town & hardly out of doors he is very much weaker than he was two months ago. his limb is growing weaker & more painful it even troubles him in the night but he looks red & healthy in the face; all of the folks are usualy well here Thank to Emma for her Photo We had a very Merry Christmas at mothers just Galloways & my family left & we had to eat & cut up for the whole of you.
