Valona April 5 1908 John Muir Esq. Dear Sir: Being fortunate enough to detect Mr. Brown the surveyor when he was down here surveying. I am glad that I was able to influence him to survey my lately acquired lot also, although he showed me by his list that he had no authority to […] […] through forgetfulness of Mr. George by making out the list. Now that the boundary lines are established I wish to fulfill my promise long expressed to fill in the low places, see to it that the street outlet is established for which the 50 ft of ground was so graciously and readily donated by you. By consent of Mr. Ryan Supervisor of this District who was here yesterday I was assured that within a week or so work would be commenced on the street and grade will be raised according to Port Street and Fifth Avenue.
