Valona May 29th 1901 Mr. John Muir Dear Sir, The Property owners on the east side of town from 3rd Ave & Lillian St wants to have permission to put in an 8” sewer down Lillian St to the fence line of the Edwards ranch & across block 7 & 8 to the main sewer, as to put the sewer down 3rd Ave would cost twice as much & it would not be as good on account of the side hill, & some places it would not be deep enough in case a wagon road was cut which will be. The cost will be about $16.00 per lot and you will have to pay for 8 lots. Will you allow them to go over said blocks. They are to put in A.y. for each lot. Please let me know at once. And Oblige Yours Truly Francis George.
