Valona Oct 1st 1900 Mr. John Muir Dear Sir, Mr. Zales the man that was to see Mrs. Muir about 2 weeks ago wants lot 1 B14 he says he can pay $30.00 down & $15.00 per month but he refuses to pay the interest on deferred payments the price of lot I asked is $325.00. What shall I do? Will you please & send me the Deeds for lots 7-8 B4 of Peitro Guerriesri [?] as he is getting the money from the Building and Loan Association & they want them to make mortgage on the property for said loan. The association knows that you are to be paid first. I have given the note or check for $100.00 to the Port Costa Lumber Co as per letter. Respectfully yours Francis George
