Valona Dec 12th 1897 Mr John Muir. Dear Sir, Enclose please find Ck no Eleven for $201.50 to be credited on lot 3 B12. Please have deed made out in favor of Charles Jacobsen for lot 3 B12 in the town of Valona. I will have to find water elsewhere on the ranch, as the well I have got will not be give enough in the summer months as last summer I had to pump in the morning & empty it & the evening & empty it, so I am afraid that I will run short next summer as my customers are increasing by degrees it is slow but sure. If I can find water elsewhere, can I have the privilege to improve and use it? Yours Truly Francis George
