My dear Mr Johnson

I have just received the Alaska M. S. & will try to make the change as you suggest adding description of the M. Glacier. but I would like to get a copy of what I have already written on the Muir Glacier aso as to avoid repetition.
I'm very sorry to see that the villainous Camminetti Bill has been favorably reported by the land Committee & that even Hoke Smith thinks favorably of it. Ive just been arranging for an expression of opinion of the Sierra Club on the bill to be sent to

Bancroft Library

the Secretary. The bill is founded on a lie--that a large part of the park is farm & mine land. With the exception of a strip on the western border there are no mines & no farms. Should this unrighteous bill pass the entire park may as well be abandoned to the thieves.
I send herewith a copy of the report of the Superintendant of the Sequoia Park which is good. Also a letter from McAllister, & and a few clippings.

Ever yours truly
