My Dear Mr. Muir
I was really greatly disappointed that I could not go this morning. I could not even get down to the telegraph office to telegraph you until 11 1/2 AM. when the storm began to slacken. I can only hope for better luck next time.
You said something about lack of glaciers & mountains. I herewith send you a copy of my A. A. A. S. address on the "theories of the origin of mountains." We will talk yet when I see you. I would try again next Saturday but there is a partial or conditional appointment with Lauson & some of the Stanford men on that day. If I can come I [illegible] etc
