Dear Muir:
I have "lived over" our visit many times, and always with a pleasant remembrance of our host who "spake by the record, Sir:" and his [illegible]able lady, to say nothing of the "School ma'am".
Now, what I want to know is,--when are you going to get so "tired of writing" that you will come and spend a few days with us? You know, Mt. Hamilton is in sight and I have not forgotten your promise.
I cannot mail you that book, "The [Sillen?] Gun," but will either hold it until you come, or bring it to S. F. and leave it where you can get it. I want to have you read it, for I know you will enjoy it. In default of that I send you "Shasta Spring," simply to ask you if you ever took "carbonic gases" in this form before? All are well, and we'uns send kindly greetings to you'uns.
