Mr Frank Sellers,
Happy New Year my boy A good luck & good time be yours in 94 & many other years to come.
I got home safely & comfortably after you had given me so handsome a sendoff, though well shakin up & scared in a collision while passing through Arizona. The two engines & four of the cars were smashed--a few were hurt; but nobody killed while I was not injured in the least.
Found everybody well excepting my motherinlaw Mrs. Strentzel who is now getting better--I had a good deal of work
Soon forget the pleasant days & evenings I spent with you. Do come out here a while this winter & thus lengthen & strengthen your manly hopeful life. While greatly delighting
Yours truly
John Muir
