Dear Anna: -

Your dear good letter came last Friday evening and found us as well as could be expected, Joanna is feeling stronger and better each day and with Gods help will get well very soon, Gracie, She was Gods gift and is only called back to await our coming And with Gods help we will meet her at His appointed time. The verses which you speak of are very beautiful and are very appropriate, we shall keep them and feel very grateful for your kindness, Willis and Mary are very

kind to us, and are here today, Joanna sat up over an hour today and will perhaps try it again in the evening. Jay will not be well enough so that I dare take [him?] to Portage before I must go South. Our mill machinery will be on the ground the last of the month and we have lots of work to do before it arrives. Joanna asked me to get some two or three more copies of the papers having those verses in if you can cut out the notice and verses and send them to us we will be greatly obliged to you. Write soon dear Anna, Our love to you, Also to Mother,
