Prof[illegible]. Muir.
Dear Sir.
I send you herewith a specimen of a deep water fish said to be very rare, I has just been caught at our wharf. I caught one of the same kind last year and gave it to Dr Beau of the Fish Comission, who was much pleased to get it, and said it would be the only specimen of the kind at the Smithsonian Institute.
I am Dear Sir Respectfully Robt. King
